Video Touch - Animals App Anmeldelser

My son LOVES this app.

He loved the app so much I purchased all the animal ones. All worked fine for a while. Not sure if there was an update or not but when I put the iPad in guided access mode you used to be able access all the videos by tapping the the icon on the bottom. Now when you tap the icon nothing happens. He is only 3 and needs the guided access so he stays in the app. If this was from an update can you fix it and put it back to where you can access all categories while in guided access mode. Other than that issue the app is great!

I love that blackbird!

Great for speech therapy

I am a speech therapist and use this all the time for speech therapy. It’s excellent for toddlers and early intervention

Selfish developers

Have 2 kids and each wants to play. Developers refuse t9 allow family sharing. Extremely unfavorable from an ethical standpoint.

Cannot share

Have 2 young kids and each one wants to play at same time. Husband unable to share purchased app with me. Very poor customer service and selfish of developers.

My two year old loves it

She absolutely loves this whole family of apps. It makes her laugh and she repeats most of the animal names. Only sad part is: we purchased for $15 (and that didn’t include the sea life), only to have them go to $0.99 each 2 days later! Oh well!

Love!

This is one of our favorite apps! We have every single one and we are waiting excitedly for the ocean life app!

Constantly updated

I love that the developer constantly updates the app with pictures video and sound. This is an actively supported app. Hours of fun when you buy the full set.

Are u guys racists now?

I'm sure that the sound touch is your apps also!? That one has my language so I paid for that one....for some reason even this app has the same animals and things you couldn't upload the words for the videos!!! Thanks!!! You saved me money!! I'm gonna tell my son to learn German or Russian just bcuz u guys were lazy....bad thing is that he won't understand a thing when he is outside

No sound

Went to settings turned on voice over and still no sound

son love it, one thing missing

My 1.5 year old son loves this app and the others in the collection. The only reason it didn't get a 5 star review from me is because it lacks a narrator saying what each animal is as the new video appears. So while my son loves to look at them, it lacks in teaching power since he doesn't get to learn what each new thing is, unless I happen to be sitting with him to narrate as he plays.

Worth every penny and more!

We've had this app for my daughter, now 20 months old, since she was I think about 10 months. It was exactly what I was looking for.. Something to help explore animals with my baby. She absolutely loves it.. Worth every penny of the $11.99! After showing my friends, they all downloaded it also! At the zoo today she impressed strangers with her animal vocabulary (crane, ostrich, peacock, etc) which in part developed because of our playing together with this app (it's also great for independent play). I hope they come out with additional video packages.. Marine animals, maybe??

Just a few animals and trap to buy the others

The app shows just a few animals, so the kid starts playing with the other icons and each one will cost you 1.99. The sound touch is worth the price, not the video touch.

Great for Special Needs & Babies

Although these apps were designed for babies and toddlers, I've purchased every one of the Video Touch apps for my daughter who is a young adult with special needs. Autism is one of her many issues and the ability to control what she watches and to watch the same videos over and over if she chooses makes her so happy. Now I have a grandson who is old enough to enjoy my iPad and he is intrigued as well. We can talk about the pictures before he starts a video and discuss what is happening just like reading a book together but with moving pictures instead. The ability to set a minimum length to each video and to choose how to close the video - with a touch anywhere on the screen or by an arrow icon - are very useful so that a very inexperienced user can control the screen and then advance to a more sophisticated method when they are ready. Another nice feature is that if you own more than one of the apps you will find that you only need to open one of them and all the rest are accessible from little icons at the bottom screen. I have purchased quite a number of apps specifically for my daughter and the Video Touch apps are among the best that I own. Each video is recorded beautifully and intriguing to watch and the developer has continued to augment and improve them over time. I highly recommend all of the Video Touch apps.

Good software

My 6 years old kid is stacked to this great software, playing videos again and again, laughing his hearts out. I am actually very happy for him watching valuable videos to learn from , better than playing useless games that make him nervous . Thanks video touch !

Sounds?

Can not activate the sounds. In Privacy the microphone does not mention the App, I disinstalled and reinstalled, restarted the iPad and stil have no sounds.

Update problems

I don't like the fact that all the app shortcuts are now at the bottom of the screen. It used to be only the ones that you purchased were. Now my son will keep on going to the App Store and getting frustrated. One of the horse videos has interlacing issues . Across all 3 apps I own, responsiveness is now not as good. Some icons only play the videos after pushing it more than once e.g snakes

Sound Touch

I purchased all 5 versions. The photography is beautiful and the sound is so real. My adult daughter is mentally challenged and the apps are so easy for her to use . I love them myself. Great apps!,,

No sound

This is a really nice app. My 8 months old has some animal books and usually I make the animal sounds. Now he is fascinated by looking at the familiar animals moving and making the sounds.

Gorgeous Videos

I bought one of these apps and, after seeing the quality, went back and purchased the rest of them. I'm an SLP and these videos will be an amazing asset during therapy. So well done!

Awesome Toddler App!

This app and it's 5 companion apps are some of the best apps for the youngest of iDevice users. My 2 year old and 4 year old love these apps. Perfect and simple! Your child will be given a grid of icons that correlate to the chosen app (in this case sheep, etc). They choose an icon and they get to watch a continuous (no fast cuts!) clip of the chosen icon. Watch the TED Talk on kids watching shows with fast cuts to learn why that is NOT a good thing. Get this! Kudos to the developer for shaving around 200MB off of each app in the latest update! Thank you!

21 month old loves this!

Tons of fun!

Label needed

I love the sound touch apps but I miss having labels on the video version. I wish there was a VoiceOver option as in the still photo version. I would have also liked to see a "packaged" option to buy all of the video apps so they would integrate when the iPad is in "accessibility mode". Because it technically switches apps when you change categories, those links don't work when the iPad is locked so the babies can play.

Love all "touch" apps

Our 16-month-old son doesn't yet watch TV, but we do let him "play" with all the video touch and SoundTouch apps. These apps kept him busy on a 6-hour plane ride, even without sound! My only only feature request would be for a voice over before video clips as an option like you have for SoundTouch. The voice announces what the baby is about to see. This is helpful if he's hogging the screen. We like to talk to him about what he's watching.

Video Touch Wildlife app is GONE!!!!

I bought the wildlife part of video touch. Could not download update, so I deleted the app, just to re-install it again... But now it is nowhere to be found!!! What happened to that apo? I paid dear money for it and would like to get it again!!! Please please help!!!!!

Great update from soundtouch

For those familiar with the app this is built from, sound touch, it's a wonderful update. All the animals instead of being still photographs are short video clips, 10- 20 seconds, and each animals has 4 clips to rotate through. It is a stand alone app, but if you purchase the companion apps (wild animals, vehicles) they integrate into the app with a button at the bottom of the page to switch, just like sound touch. My baby loves this upgrade, he was know to spend 30 minutes on my lap going through the still animals, and now being able to watch them move, he's thoroughly enjoying that! Even our older children watch as the horses play, the rooster flap and crow, and the dogs bark at you. I'd recommend this to any parent looking for an educational fun app for baby to preschooler!

Great App!

This app goes along with two other Video Touch apps, but when you purchased two or more, the icons for all three appear at the bottom of each app to easily switch back and forth. The apps are similar to Sound Touch, but with videos instead of images. There are 12 items per app (for example, 12 animals in the wild animals category, including elephant, wild cats, bear, primates, zebras, etc.). When you touch an item, zebra for example, it brings up a video of the animal or vehicle that ranges in length from 5 to 30 seconds. There are currently four videos per item, for a total of 48 videos per app (be warned—this takes up a lot of space on your iPhone or iPad!). The videos are accompanied by sound, but the name of the animal is not announced. The videos are all HD quality. It is easy to navigate for little ones with large icons and a tap anywhere on the screen to move from a video back to the menu (or the option of an arrow). The video will loop repeatedly (iPad only) until the screen (or arrow) is touched. The videos are educational, showing the natural habitat or behavior of animals, and how machines and vehicles work.

Love it!

My 2 year old and I both love this app and have had so much fun with it. For each cartoon drawing you see, you get about 4 different amazing video clips that run on a loop. Each has a different scene featuring the animal (so for the cat one, there's an adorable clip of a cat playing with toilet paper while sitting on a toilet, another clip with kittens playing, etc.). Our favorite is the donkey clip where the donkey seems to come right up to lick the camera. She giggles so much and for so long at each of these clips. Watching her happiness made me want to become an app maker myself to know I had brought so much happiness to a little girl, but sadly I am technologically challenged - ha! I can see a younger child (from 9 months on) really loving this too. Thank you for making such a great app! We love MusicTouch too!

my 1 year old loves this app

Would love the option to have the video keep playing until finished and ignore taps. Sometimes the short attention span wins out.

Awesome!

I originally gave this app a rating of 2 stars due to the questionable nature of one clip. Thanks you for fixing it!! You listened! Now I have no choice but to give this app the 5 stars it deserves. I know I will use this app a multitude of times with all my special Ed students!

Great app!!!

My son loves this app!!!
